Bhagat Mahendrakumar

Bhagat Mahendrakumar runs things from Athwalines. Specifically, we are on Phirozh Shah Mehta Road inside the Sagar Plaza building. You can find us on the ground floor, which is convenient since nobody has to climb any stairs to get to us. The Jain Daherasar is quite close by, which is what we usually tell people when they are trying to find the shop for the first time. The office at Sagar Plaza is small and it has that specific smell of old paper and ink. Mahendrakumar is usually there behind the main desk, surrounded by stacks of files that seem to grow every week. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, maybe just a calendar and a clock that ticks a bit too loudly. It’s a quiet place compared to the busy Phirozh Shah Mehta Road outside. We get a lot of regular people who have been coming to see Mahendrakumar for years. They don't come for a corporate experience; they come because they know him and they trust his way of doing things. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of people helping out with the paperwork. Sometimes we close a little early if there isn't much going on, or stay late if a customer needs something urgent. It’s not a polished operation, but it is honest and it has been part of Athwalines for a long time. It feels like home to us.
