If you find yourself on 120 Ft Bamroli Road in Surat, you’ll see our place at Plot No. -45/b. We are right on the ground floor of the Ship 1 building. It’s a busy road with a lot of noise from the traffic, so it’s never really quiet inside the shop. We deal with electrical parts and bits for wiring, mostly stuff that people need for their houses or small projects. The shelves are pretty packed with boxes of different sizes, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we’re looking for. I’ve been working here for a while now, and the floor is starting to show some wear from all the foot traffic. We open up early and stay till the evening, chatting with whoever walks in off the street. It’s not a large operation, just a few of us handling the counter and checking the stock. Surat gets really hot, so the fan is always humming in the background. We don’t go in for big displays or anything like that. We just have what we have on the shelves. Most days go by fast because there’s always someone needing a specific fuse or a length of cable. It’s a decent way to spend the day, even if the dust from the road gets everywhere. We just keep things moving and make sure the inventory is somewhat in order.
