We’ve been here at Surat Bonanza Industrial Estate for a while now. If you walk down Ashok Chakravati Road, you’ll probably see our place. It’s usually busy with trucks and cars coming in. Most days it’s just us dealing with whatever rolls through the door. The floor gets dirty and there’s always a bit of a rubber smell in the air, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with tires all day. We spend a lot of time checking tread and fixing punctures. Some days are hotter than others, especially when the sun hits the metal shutters. We just get on with it. It isn't a fancy showroom with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical workspace where we keep things moving. A lot of the regular drivers stop by just to say hello or check their air pressure before heading out on a long trip. We know most of the people around the estate. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break, then it's back to the jacks and wrenches. It’s hard work, and your hands never really stay clean for long, but it feels good to see a vehicle leave the lot with a solid set of wheels. We keep a decent stock piled up in the back so we don't run out of the common sizes people need. It’s simple, honest work right here on the corner.
