We’re located over at Plot No. 8 in the Athal Indl. Estate. Windoors International Ltd. might sound like a big, fancy name, but we’re just a bunch of folks working in a workshop like everyone else in this estate. The Athal area is always humming with the sound of industry, and we’re right in the middle of it. Our building is a sturdy one. It has to be, with all the heavy frames we move around. We’ve got a big sliding door that stays open most of the day to let the air circulate, otherwise, it gets too stuffy. We focus on doors and windows. It’s practical work. We don't spend time on shiny presentations. If you want to see what we do, you just come to the shop and look at what’s on the floor. There’s always sawdust or metal shavings around, no matter how much we sweep. Our crew is local. Some of the guys walk to work, others come on bikes. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea breaks. That’s where the real talking happens. We’ve had some tough times when materials were hard to get, but we managed to keep going. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just build things that are supposed to last and try to be fair with everyone. That’s how we’ve stayed at Plot No. 8 all these years. We just take it one day at a time.
