Architect Manish Choksi

My name is Manish Choksi and I work as an architect over in Athwalines. My office is in unit 603. It is a pretty standard setup for a professional in this city. I have been in this spot for a while now, and I’ve gotten used to the view and the daily routine of the building. Being an architect means I spend a huge chunk of my day looking at floor plans and trying to figure out how to fit everything into a small space. Athwalines is a good area to be in, but finding parking can be a nightmare for my clients. I usually tell them to come early or take a rickshaw. Inside my office, it’s mostly just shelves of files and a big desk where I do my drafting. I don't have a big staff, so I end up doing most of the small tasks myself, like printing out large sheets or filing away permits. It gets lonely sometimes, but it helps me focus on the details of the projects. I see a lot of different people, from folks wanting to renovate a kitchen to people building whole new houses. I try to be practical about what can actually be built versus what just looks good in a picture. It’s a lot of back and forth with the local authorities too, which takes up more time than I’d like. I just keep at it every day.
