Sun Shine Plastics Industries

Sun Shine Plastics Industries operates out of unit 11 in the Krishna Industrial Estate in Amli. It’s a typical industrial setup where the rows of units all look similar, and there’s always the sound of machinery hum coming from somewhere. We’ve been here for a while now, working with plastic materials every day. The space is filled with raw materials, finished products, and the machines we use to shape them. It’s often quite warm inside, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just part of the job when you’re running this kind of equipment. We aren't a big corporation with layers of management; it’s mostly just a few of us making sure the production stays on track. We handle our own deliveries and keep an eye on the inventory ourselves. Amli is a good place for this kind of work because everyone else in the estate is doing something similar, so there’s a sense of being in a community of workers. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll just see us in our work clothes, probably busy with a machine or moving boxes around. Our focus is just on getting the orders filled correctly and making sure the plastic comes out the way it’s supposed to. It’s practical, everyday work that doesn't need a lot of explanation or fancy talk to get done. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. The machines keep running and we keep the floors swept as best we can between the morning and evening shifts.
