Rototex Polyester is located at Plot No. 23 on Survey No. 185/1/1 in the Dockmards area. It’s a busy spot because of how close we are to the shipping and transport hubs. You can always hear the horns of the trucks and the sounds of the docks nearby. Inside our building, we handle a lot of polyester material. There are big rolls of fabric and yarn stacked up almost to the ceiling in some parts of the warehouse. The air always has a little bit of lint floating in it so we try to keep the ventilation going. We have a small group of workers who handle the sorting and the packing. It’s physical work and involves a lot of lifting and moving crates. We don’t have a big fancy office. It’s just a room with a desk, a computer that’s a few years old, and a lot of samples hanging on the walls. We spend a lot of time on the phone with transporters trying to figure out where the latest shipment is. Lunch is usually brought from home and we eat it in the small break area behind the loading dock. It’s a straightforward business and we don't go for anything flashy. We just focus on getting the polyester moved out to the customers who need it for their own factories. Some days are slow but most are a bit of a rush.
