Nimbark Smoothpacks

Down in Village Amli, we run Nimbark Smoothpacks from units 29 and 30 in the Amli Industrial Estate. It is a relatively quiet spot compared to the bigger cities, which we actually like quite a bit. We spend our time working on various packaging materials. It is a lot of folding, cutting, and checking the quality of the boxes and wraps. The machines have their own rhythm, and you get used to the sound after a while. Our staff mostly comes from the nearby villages. We do not have many meetings or long emails. If something needs to be fixed, we just go and talk to the person in charge. The space is filled with stacks of paper and plastic, so we have to be careful about keeping things neat. It is not a glamorous job, but it is important for all the other businesses that need their stuff packed safely. We see a lot of different people coming through to pick up their orders. Sometimes we have a cup of tea with the drivers while they wait for their trucks to be loaded. It is a very grounded atmosphere. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the packaging is strong enough for whatever goes inside. The weather stays warm here, and the industrial estate is our little world for most of the week. We just do our bit and keep the machines running well.
