Our location at 910/3 in Dockmandi is right in the middle of all the trading action. If you’ve ever been down toward the docks, you know it’s a place that never really sleeps. There are always people moving bundles of cloth and trucks loading up to go to different parts of the country. At Donear Industries Ltd., we have a space that is mostly filled with fabric rolls and the sound of people talking over the noise of the street. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls because every inch of space is needed for the goods we handle. The air is often filled with a bit of lint and the smell of new textiles. We’ve been here for a long time, and the staff knows most of the other business owners on the block by their first names. We usually start our day early to beat the worst of the traffic, though it's almost impossible to avoid it entirely in Dockmandi. Our desks are buried under swatches and order forms, and there’s always a teapot going somewhere in the corner. We don't put on any acts here; we just deal with the textile business as it comes. It can be a bit messy and loud, but it’s where we feel at home. Most of our work involves checking quality and making sure the shipments are ready to go out to the markets. It’s a tough, busy life but we wouldn't have it any other way.
