Aangan Architects

We are located at Nanpura 401. It’s an older building and our office is up on the fourth floor. The elevator works most of the time, but sometimes we just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. The space itself is simple, with a few large windows that look out over the city. It’s not a high-end studio with designer furniture. We have some old desks we’ve used for years and chairs that are comfortable enough for a long day of work. We spend a lot of time hunched over drawings or looking at site photos on our phones. Nanpura is an interesting part of town with a lot of history, and we like being right in the middle of it. The office can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a few fans that keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm around. We just like to take on interesting projects and do them well. There’s usually a lot of paper everywhere—sketches, permits, and notes we’ve written to ourselves. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. We don't have a dedicated receptionist, so we all take turns answering the phone. It’s a very basic setup, and that’s how we like it. We focus on the work and let the results speak for themselves without any big speeches.
