Aaditya Exports

Our shop is LG-231, and it’s tucked away inside the Annapurna Textile Market. If you know the Ring Road area near Kamela Darwaja, you already know how hectic it gets around here. Aaditya Exports has been in this spot for a good bit now. It’s a small space, usually packed from the floor to the ceiling with rolls of different fabrics. There’s barely enough room to walk sometimes when a new shipment comes in from the mills. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking the latest batches that just arrived. It’s loud and dusty, and there’s always someone shouting for a tea break or a delivery guy trying to push through the crowds. We don’t have any fancy displays or lights. We just show people the cloth they are looking for. If it’s good quality, it sells. If not, it just sits there. We try not to let things sit around for too long. Dealing with exports means we really have to be careful with the counts and the colors. A small mistake can cause a big problem later on for everyone. We’ve had those days where everything seems to go wrong, but mostly we just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we aren’t all related by blood. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the market. That’s just life on Ring Road.
