A R Khandwal & Co

Our office is tucked away in the Nanpura Gidc Industrial Estate. If you know this area, you know it’s mostly factories and a lot of noise from the machinery nearby. A R Khandwal & Co has been part of this landscape for a while. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we are used to the hum of the industrial zone. Every morning, we unlock the shutters and start the day. There’s usually a bit of dust from the road, so cleaning the desks is the first thing we do. We aren't fancy people. The furniture is old but sturdy, and we have a lot of paper files stacked up because that’s how we’ve always kept track of things. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the big units next door start up their heavy equipment, but we just keep going. Lunch is usually something brought from home or a quick bite from the local canteen. We don’t have a big reception desk or a waiting lounge with magazines. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us mid-conversation about a project or looking through some ledgers. It’s a straightforward way of working. We like being in the middle of the industrial hub because that’s where the real work happens. It’s practical for us. We don't worry about being polished. We just make sure the work gets finished before we head home in the evening.
