Mourdhwaj Seva Foundation

Our foundation, Mourdhwaj Seva Foundation, is based out of the Basant Vihar Chowk area in Ligiyadi. It’s a small, quiet place, but it’s where we feel we can do the most good for people. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy office. It’s just a few of us who have lived here for years and want to see our neighborhood do well. We put the word 'Seva' in our name because that’s the heart of what we do—just simple service. We aren't interested in making a big name for ourselves or getting any awards. We just want to help out when things go wrong for someone. Sometimes that means organizing a small event to help out a local family, or helping kids get the books they need for school. Ligiyadi is the kind of place where everyone mostly knows everyone else, so we like to keep our work quiet and personal. We don’t do big advertisements or announcements. People just know where to find us near the chowk. If someone is having a hard time, they usually find their way to our door eventually. We try to be honest about what we can actually do. We don’t have a lot of money, but we have a lot of local knowledge and we care about the people here. It’s just about sticking together and making sure nobody in Ligiyadi gets left behind or forgotten.
