Dr. Gautam Dental Clinic

Down here in Chirimiri, things move at a different pace than the big cities. The clinic is over by the Pankha Dafai Post Office in Haldibadi. It’s a familiar spot for the folks living around here. Most people know where the post office is, so they don’t have much trouble finding us. The building is simple, nothing too modern, but it does what it needs to do. Inside, you’ll find the usual dental chair and the tray of tools we use every day. Dr. Gautam spends most of his time looking at x-rays or talking to people about their gums. We see a lot of familiar faces, neighbors mostly. The dust from the road sometimes drifts in if we leave the door open too long, so we’re always cleaning. We don't have a big reception desk with a computer system; it's mostly notebooks and manual entries. It works for us. Chirimiri is the kind of place where word of mouth is more important than an ad in the paper. If someone has a toothache, they just walk over. We might be small, but we handle everything from basic cleanings to pullings. The light coming through the window in the afternoon is nice, even if the fan is a bit noisy. We just keep at it, one patient at a time, making sure things stay clean and the patients feel okay. It is a quiet life but we like being part of the community here.
