Raj Marble

Raj Marble is sitting right in Village Sakhua, not far from Pipra Bazar. It is a pretty small operation, really. We mostly handle marble slabs for people living in the surrounding villages and the nearby towns. Being close to the bazaar helps because there are always people moving through the area for their daily shopping. We have been at this specific location for some years now. It is not a polished office like you see in the big cities. We have the slabs leaning against the walls and a small area where we sit down and talk to our customers about what they need. Sometimes the floor is a bit of a mess with stone chips and dust, but we try to sweep it when we have a spare moment. Dealing with marble is tough on the hands and the back, but it is the work we have chosen to do. People come in looking for something for their new floors or maybe for their kitchens. We show them whatever is available in the yard at that moment. The stock varies depending on what we can get delivered from the suppliers. There is no big mystery to how we run things. We just sell stone and try to be honest about the quality. The days are usually the same, waiting for customers and moving the heavy pieces when someone finally makes a choice. Sakhua is a decent place to be based, especially with the bazaar so close by for everything else we need.
