Our office is out in Mirganj, right near the Indian Dhaba. If you're coming through Madhepura, you've probably seen the trucks passing by. Being in Hanumannagar Chakla means we are right in the middle of things. It’s a bit dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up. We’ve been set up here for a while now, handling whatever engineering or contracting work comes our way. It isn't a quiet place. There is always someone coming in or out with paperwork or supplies. We usually grab food from the dhaba nearby when things get too busy to cook. The team here knows the local roads pretty well. We spend a lot of time on site, making sure things are moving along. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but that's just part of working in this district. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the projects at hand. Most of our day is spent looking at plans or talking to the crew out on the field. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. The office is simple, just some desks and chairs and a lot of maps. People know us as Gammon Engineers and Contractors. We’ve become a fixture of this part of town. Sometimes the internet is slow or the phone lines act up, but we manage. We just keep at it day after day without making much of a fuss about it all.
