Utkal General Store

We have been here on Bisra Road for quite a long time now. Most people know us because we are right in front of the Ycoko Bank, which makes us pretty easy to find even if the street gets busy. It’s just a standard general store with all the usual things people need for their houses. The shelves are usually packed quite tight, and sometimes things get a little dusty if they haven’t moved in a week, but we try our best to keep it tidy. Life here is mostly about the morning rush when people are heading to work and need a quick item, and then the evening when everyone is coming back. The traffic outside can get pretty loud with all the horns, but you get used to it after a while. We don't have fancy lights or a big office. It is just a counter and a lot of stock behind us. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat about the weather or what's happening in the town. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own families now. It feels like a small part of the community here. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful where we put the new boxes when they arrive. If you ever walk by the bank, you’ll probably see us sitting near the door when it’s not too busy. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, but it keeps us busy enough.
