Telco Construction Equipment

You can find us at B-137 in Koelnagar, which is in Rourkela, Orissa. It’s a quiet residential-style block where we’ve set up our office. Rourkela is a steel city, so there is always some construction or industrial work happening nearby. We deal with construction equipment from this small base. It’s not a huge corporate headquarters. We just have a couple of rooms with desks and some filing cabinets for all the paperwork. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We are more focused on keeping the orders moving. Most of our days are spent on the telephone or writing out invoices. We have a small yard where we sometimes keep smaller bits of machinery. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise during the day. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a big sign outside, just enough for people to know they’ve found the right house. We’ve been here long enough that most of the delivery drivers know the way. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We wear regular clothes and don't bother with ties. We just want to get through the day's work and make sure our clients are sorted out. It’s an honest way to earn a living in Orissa. Nothing fancy, just us and the machines and a bit of tea. We stay busy and keep our heads down.
