Sarvodaya Social Development Foundation

Sarvodaya Social Development Foundation is based in Rourkela. You can find us at Plot No- W4/12 in Lathikata. Sundergarh is where we do most of our work. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there’s always something going on. We have been at this address for a while now. The building is older, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We are a small group of people who just want to help out where we can. Rourkela has a lot of energy, and we try to keep up with that. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but that’s part of the job. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to deal with it. The 769004 area is home to us. It’s not a glamorous job, and we aren't getting rich doing it. Most days involve a lot of walking or driving around the district to see how things are going. We drink a lot of coffee and talk a lot. It’s a practical way of working. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We are just a local foundation trying to stay busy and do some good in Orissa. It gets loud with the traffic outside sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We just keep our heads down and work.
