Raj Tea Company

Raj Tea Company is based in the Subhadra Market Complex, down on the Main Road in Sundergarh. We are actually located below the Uco Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us when they’re doing their banking errands. The market complex is a busy place with all sorts of shops, so there’s always a lot of shouting and moving around. Our shop is a bit tucked away, which helps keep it a little cooler during the hot months. We deal with tea in a very straightforward way. We get the bags in, we sort them, and we sell them to the local people and small businesses around the district. There’s nothing fancy about our shelves—they’re just sturdy wood meant to hold the weight of the tea bags. The lighting isn't the best down here, but we know where everything is. We spend our days dealing with the regulars who have been coming to Subhadra Market for years. It’s a lot of lifting and shifting bags, which can be tiring, but it’s the job.
