Our office is situated in Madhusudan Colony, right across the street from the UP School. It is a pretty quiet neighborhood most of the time, except for the few minutes when the school bell rings and the kids are all running around outside. We have been here for many years and the building has become a familiar landmark for the people living nearby. It is a plain, two-story structure with a small gate and a little bit of garden that we don't always have time to look after. Inside, the space is filled with desks, old computers, and metal filing cabinets that are stuffed with years of records. We handle various industrial operations, which means we have to deal with a lot of paperwork and technical reports every single day. The atmosphere in the office is relaxed and we don't really worry about formal dress codes. We usually have a pot of tea going in the small kitchen area, and that is where we spend our breaks talking about the news or the weather. The windows are usually left open to get a breeze, though it means we have to wipe the dust off our desks every morning. We don't spend any money on advertising or fancy signs. We just show up and do our work, making sure our operations are running the way they should. It is just a regular office life in a quiet part of the colony.
