Up here in Rourkela, you can find Maytas Infra Ltd over in Sector-17. Our spot is at A/99, right in the Sundargarh district. It’s a practical setup we have here in Orissa. The air around Rourkela always feels like work is happening, especially with the steel plants and all the industry nearby. We fit right into that. Our office is where we keep the blueprints and the site logs. It is usually pretty noisy with phones ringing or someone coming in with mud on their boots from a project site. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the essentials for getting through the day. The team here knows the local area well. We spend our time figuring out the logistics of moving stone and cement around. Some of the roads get tricky during the monsoon, so we spend a lot of time planning for that. It’s not a glamorous life, but there is a certain rhythm to it. We keep our tools ready and our schedules as tight as we can manage. Most of us have lived in Orissa for years, so we understand how things move here. We are just a bunch of workers trying to make sure the infrastructure gets built properly. If you pass by Sector-17, you’ll see us busy with something or other. Our desks are usually covered in dust from the local roads, but we don't mind much. It is just simple work for us.
