This office for Kohli Builders is tucked away in Sorda, which you get to via Purnapani in the Sundargarh district of Orissa. We are located right with the Jindal Stainless Limited site at KNIC-Jajpur. It’s a bit of a distance from the bigger cities, so it’s quite an industrial and rural mix out here. Most of the people around are either working at the plant or living in the nearby villages. Our space is basic and functional because we spend so much time dealing with the work happening on-site. You won't find any fancy decorations here, just the stuff we need to do our jobs every day. The roads around Sorda can be a bit dusty with all the trucks moving back and forth from the stainless steel plant. We’ve grown used to the noise of the machinery and the constant movement of workers. It’s a 770035 pin code area, and things move at their own pace here, except when there’s a deadline at the plant. We usually start quite early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the heat becomes difficult to work in. Lunch is often something quick brought from home or from one of the small canteens nearby. It’s hard work being out here, but it’s a busy place with a lot of activity. We’ve been operating from this Jindal location for a while and know the layout pretty well by now.
