Ispat General Hospital

Our hospital is part of the Sundergarh district. It’s a big facility because there are a lot of people in this area who depend on us. Being in an industrial district means we see a lot of workers and their families. The grounds are fairly large, and there’s usually a lot of activity near the main gates. We have several wards and a lot of different departments. It’s the kind of place where the hallways seem to go on forever. The paint is peeling a little in some of the older wings, but we keep the medical areas as tidy as we can. You’ll hear the sound of trolleys being pushed across the tile floors and the paging system going off. We have a big parking area that gets very full by mid-morning. The staff here are mostly locals from Sundergarh, so there’s a lot of chatting in the local language in the breakroom. We have an emergency area that stays busy 24 hours a day. It can be a bit overwhelming for new people, but you get used to the noise and the constant movement. We don’t have many frills here. It’s a straightforward hospital built to serve the community in the district. We focus on getting people treated and back home to their families. There is always a lot of work to do, but we just keep at it day after day.
