We are located in the Jagada area of Rourkela, which is in the Sundergarh district of Orissa. Our office is a simple, no-frills place that serves as our home base for the work we do in this region. Rourkela is a major steel city, so there is always a lot of noise and movement going on around us. Our building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a practical space where we can keep our records and meet with the site foremen. The walls are painted a simple cream color and the floor is pretty scuffed up from all the heavy work boots coming in and out all day. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to coordinate between the main office and our local vendors. It can be a real juggle sometimes to get everything lined up. We have a small table in the back where we keep a kettle and some biscuits for when we finally take a break. The noise from the main road nearby is constant, but you honestly stop hearing it after you've worked here for a week. We handle a lot of the technical drawings in this office, so there are big tables and rolls of paper everywhere you look. It feels like a real working office instead of a fancy showroom. We don't care about appearances as long as the project milestones are being met.
