We are based in Rourkela, Orissa, which is a city that really knows the meaning of hard work. Being Gammon Cooling Towers Limited in a place like this feels right. The air usually has that heavy, industrial smell from the steel plants, and the ground is often covered in a thin layer of red dust. Our office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it serves us well. We have been here at PIN 769009 for quite some time now. Inside, the walls are covered with old calendars and maps of the area. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we manage. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’d rather just have good tools and a reliable internet connection when it decides to work. The people here are straightforward, and we try to be the same way. We don't have a big HR department or a PR team writing fancy things for us. It’s just a few of us making sure everything runs the way it’s supposed to. Rourkela is a tough city but it’s home. We like the fact that we are part of the landscape here. Most of our days are spent on the phone or looking at technical drawings, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just show up and do what needs to be done every single day.
