Navyug Kalyan Kendra Federation

Navyug Kalyan Kendra Federation is based out of Rourkela 1, specifically over at the Madras Handloom spot. We are in the care of Smt. Suman Singh. If you know the handloom shop, you know where we are. Rourkela is a steel town, and you can feel that energy everywhere. Our workspace is tucked into a corner of the building. It’s filled with the smell of textiles and the sound of the street outside. We have a lot of stuff piled up—papers, some fabric samples, and old registers. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. Suman Singh is usually around, keeping an eye on things. We don't have a big corporate board or anything. It’s more like a family-run operation. People from the Sundergarh area come by quite often to talk about work or just to say hello. The 769001 pincode area is pretty busy, so there’s always something happening right outside the window. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with different people across the district. It’s a lot of phone calls and ledger entries. We don’t use any fancy software for most of it; we just write it down. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. The heat in Rourkela can be tough in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and get on with our business.
