Medikey Pharmaceutical Private Limited operates out of Flat 304 in B Block of the Kaushlya Enclave. It is right there in CDA Colony, which is a fairly busy residential area. Piyush Kumar and the rest of us spend our days here in this apartment setup, which has been converted into our workspace. Being on the third floor means we see people coming and going from the other units. We have got the rooms filled with filing cabinets and boxes of supplies. It is a tight squeeze sometimes when a big shipment arrives, but we manage to make it work. The address is linked to Sri Upendra Nath’s family, so there is a real personal connection to the place. We do not spend money on big signs or flashy decorations. Our focus is just on the daily logistics of the pharmaceutical business. We keep the ledgers updated and make sure the phones are answered. Lunch is usually something brought from home, eaten together in the small kitchen area. It feels more like a home-based project than a corporate entity, but that is just how we like to run things. It stays quiet most of the afternoon until the school buses start dropping kids off outside the enclave.
