We sit here on the first floor on Kacheri Road, right in Om Prakash Gupta’s building. It is just one room, Room Number 1, but it works for what we do at Khatkurbahal Bhoo Vahini Llp. Most days start with opening up the shutters and letting some air in because it gets a bit stuffy in the mornings. The street outside is always noisy with people going to court or running errands at the shops nearby, so we hear a lot of honking and shouting all day long. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that drives me crazy, but you get used to it after a while. People come by asking about plots or wanting to know how their registration process is moving along. We don't have a big staff here, just a couple of us handling the desk and the phone. If you are looking for the office, you have to look for the small sign near the stairs. It is very easy to miss if you are walking fast or not paying attention. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now, and the neighbors all know us. Usually, someone is always here from morning till the sun goes down, unless we had to go out to the site or the government office for signatures. It is just a regular local business trying to keep things moving.
