About Babasaheb Welfare Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Sundargarh
We are based out of House No. 51 in Garjan. It’s a bit of a way out, coming via Rourkela. The post office is right there in Garjan too, which is handy for all our letters. We’ve been using this house as our base for a long time. It’s not an office building, just a regular home where we do our foundation work. People in the village know where to find us. We focus on welfare, but in a very local way. If a neighbor is struggling with something, they usually come to House 51 to see if we can help. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. We just talk to people face to face. Rourkela is the nearest big town, but Garjan is where we belong. It’s a 769043 area, or just 43 as some people say when they are writing the address. The house is usually open if someone needs to stop by. We have a few rooms set aside for our files and meetings. It’s nothing special to look at, just a place where we try to be useful to the people living nearby. We don't have a big budget, so we use what we have at hand. Most of the work is just helping out with local problems or organizing small events for the community kids. It’s quiet work, but it fills our days and makes us feel like we are part of something. We’ve been here for years and the neighbors are used to seeing us around.
