Ark Fertilizers Private Limited is the name on our papers. We are over in Kabatabandha, at a spot known as Purunabaulamala. You can find us at Raghunnath Sahoo’s place. It is a straightforward business dealing with fertilizers, which is something every farmer around here needs to think about. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We are just local people working in the Kabatabandha area. Raghunnath Sahoo’s location serves as our main point of contact. If you walk through Purunabaulamala, you’ll find that things are pretty simple and slow-paced. Our work involves a lot of lifting and moving bags, so the office is mostly a storage space and a place to keep the books straight. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you show up, you’ll probably find someone busy with the inventory or talking to a neighbor. We’ve been here for a bit and we know the local soil pretty well. Being a private limited company sounds formal, but in reality, it’s just a way for us to keep the business organized. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just make sure the fertilizer is where it needs to be when the season starts. It is hard work and it gets our clothes dirty, but that is the nature of the job in our part of the country. We just keep at it.
