Our shop is located at 6-21-652 on Svt Street in Sullurupet. It’s a small place but we try to keep it packed with all the things people in the neighborhood need every day. You can find bags of rice, different kinds of dals, and all the little household items that run out when you least expect it. Usually, we open up early in the morning because that’s when the ladies come by after dropping their kids at school. It gets a bit cramped inside when more than three people are standing there, but we make do. We’ve been on this street for a while now and we know most of our customers by their first names. Sometimes people just stop in to chat for a minute about the weather or the local news while we weigh out their sugar or flour. It isn't a supermarket, so don't expect shiny floors or air conditioning. We just have shelves and a counter where we take the cash. The back room is mostly full of crates and extra stock that we pull from when the front gets empty. Keeping track of everything is a bit of a chore, especially when the delivery trucks show up late and block the street for a few minutes. But it’s a good life, and we like being right here in the middle of town where everything is happening. We just try to keep the shelves full and the scale honest for everyone who walks in.
