We work out of Nihalgarh in Uttar Pradesh, right by the PWI Office near the railway station. Techsol Corporation is mainly focused on the maintenance and operation of CNG compressors. It’s a loud and greasy job most of the time. You can hear the trains coming and going all day long while we are working on the machines. It’s not a clean office job where you sit in a chair for eight hours. We are usually out there with the equipment, making sure everything is running like it’s supposed to. The dust from the station area gets everywhere, and the summer heat in UP can be pretty brutal when you’re working outside. We have a small team of guys who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We’ve been doing this for a while now, so we know the quirks of these compressors pretty well. It’s practical work that keeps the local transport going. We don't have any fancy brochures or a shiny office. Our headquarters is basically just where we keep our tools and where we meet up before starting the shift. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don't talk much about 'the industry' or anything like that; we just focus on the nuts and bolts of the compressors. When a machine breaks down, we are the ones who have to figure out why and fix it fast.
