Palak Clinic

You can find Palak Clinic over on Tamsa Marg here in Akbarpur. It’s a straightforward little place. We don't have a giant neon sign, just a regular one so people know where to turn off the road. The building is older and has that solid feel to it. Ambedkar Nagar is a good area, mostly families who have lived here for a long time. We get people coming in with all the usual stuff like seasonal allergies or stomach aches. The waiting room has a few old magazines and a water cooler that makes a loud gulping sound every few minutes. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that's not why people come here. They come because we are close and we listen. The staff is just a few of us, so we end up doing everything from cleaning the windows to filing the insurance papers. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we have to use the back-up, which is always an adventure. It’s not a perfect setup, but it works for what we need to do. We keep the doors open six days a week and sometimes Sunday morning if things are busy. Living and working in Akbarpur means we see our patients at the market too. It’s a small community vibe and we like it that way. Just a local clinic doing the daily work on Tamsa Marg and keeping things as simple as possible.
