Dr. Ansar Polyclinic

Down here in Kurebhar, the polyclinic is where a lot of people end up when they aren't feeling well. It’s a simple building and we don't have a lot of fancy signs. Dr. Ansar is usually here to see whoever walks through the door. We see everything from small cuts to people with bad fevers. The floors are stone and we have a few wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait. It can get pretty hot in the middle of the day, so we keep the doors open to let some air in. You can hear the sounds of the village outside, cows and tractors occasionally. We don't have a lot of staff, maybe just a couple of us helping out with the patients. The medicine cabinet is kept locked and we spend a lot of time writing things down in big notebooks. It’s a very practical place. We don't spend money on decorations or nice paint. The focus is just on the people who come in. Sometimes the waiting area is full of people from the nearby farms. We try to get to everyone as fast as possible, but sometimes it takes time. It’s been a part of Kurebhar for a while now and everyone knows where to find us. We don't really have set appointments, people just show up when they need help. That’s just the way it works here.
