H.K. Veerannagowda College

Being located in Maddur, right here in Mandya, means we are very much part of the local scene. H.K. Veerannagowda College isn't tucked away in some private corner; we are right where the action is in this part of the district. Most of us grew up around here or have lived in Mandya long enough to call it home. The college stays busy throughout the week. You’ll see students hanging around the entrance or walking down from the nearby bus stops. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We don’t have those massive glass buildings you see in the big cities. Instead, we have solid rooms and a lot of history in these walls. Sometimes the power goes out or things get a bit dusty because of the wind, but we just carry on. It’s about the students getting their work done and the staff keeping the place running. People know us in 571428. You can’t really miss the building if you’re passing through Maddur. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just a college where people come to learn and then go back to their villages or towns. On rainy days, the ground gets a bit muddy and we all have to watch our step. It’s just a normal part of life here. We’re glad to be a fixture in the community without making a big fuss about it.
