Out here in Maddur, specifically in Kopta, you’ll find us at the K. Krishna Complex. We’re right on the ground floor, which makes things a lot easier for loading up the heavy stuff. Dealing with steel and cement is heavy work, so being on the ground level is a must. The shop has been a part of this community for some time. We see people from all over the Taluk coming in, some just needing a couple of bags for a repair and others looking for enough steel for a whole new house. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but the ground floor stays relatively cool compared to the street. We usually have a few guys around to help with the lifting because those cement bags don't move themselves. The complex gets pretty busy on market days. We try to keep things organized, but when three trucks show up at once, it gets a bit chaotic. That’s just how it goes in this business. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It’s that kind of place. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. People just know where we are. We've got the steel rods stacked in the back and the cement piled up where it stays dry. It's a simple operation, run by people who live right here in the area. We just focus on getting the materials out to whoever needs them today. We don't do anything special, just honest work.
