Basappa Coffee Beans

Down in Besagarahalli, things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We’re located at 69-40-87 in Maddur Taluk. It’s mostly farmland and quiet roads around here, which suits us just fine. Our days revolve around the coffee beans and the seasons. When it’s harvest time, the place gets really crowded with sacks and people. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy. There’s a lot of dust from the beans, and you can smell them from all the way down the road. We don't have any big corporate offices or fancy desks. It’s mostly just us, some old chairs, and the machinery we use. Most of the people working here grew up around Maddur, so we understand how the weather affects the crop. If it rains too much, we worry. If it’s too dry, we worry. It’s just the way it goes when you’re dealing with the earth. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to get the beans sorted and sent out to whoever needs them. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise until the evening. We usually close up when it starts getting dark, heading home to our families nearby. It’s a decent life we’ve built for ourselves in this small corner of the world.
