Sri Meenakshi Pooja Store

Our little shop, Sri Meenakshi Pooja Store, is over at 2, K.V.M. Avenue, right on Evs Street in Ranga Nagar. It’s a small place, but we keep it packed with everything needed for rituals and daily prayers. We have various oils, incense sticks, small brass statues, and different kinds of powders on the shelves. The smell of the shop is the first thing people notice; it’s a strong mix of herbs and resins. Because we don't have much space, you have to move carefully so you don't bump into anything. We started this place because we realized that people in Ranga Nagar had to go quite far to get their pooja items. Now, they can just walk down the street to our door. We aren't looking to become a giant chain or a big famous brand. We are perfectly happy just being the local store for this neighborhood. Sometimes we run out of things if there’s a major festival coming up, but we try our best to get more stock as fast as possible. It’s mostly family members running the place together. We take turns behind the counter and help people find what they are looking for. We don't use any fancy marketing or posters. Word of mouth from the neighbors has always been enough for us. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy enough and keeps the rain out. We open up early so everyone can get what they need for their morning rituals before work.
