Our facility for Tecno Doors India Pvt. Ltd. is located at Plot No. L-1 in the Sipcot Industrial Park in Sriperumbudur. It is a large area covering Mambakkam and Pondur 'A' Village in the Kancheepuram District. Being out here in the industrial park means we have plenty of space to work, which is necessary for making doors. The surroundings are mostly other factories and wide roads, so it feels very different from the crowded city. Most of us commute from the nearby villages or from further out in Kancheepuram. The mornings are usually spent setting up the machines and checking the materials that came in. It is a big shed with a lot of movement, and there is always something being cut or assembled. We keep things pretty low-key in the office part of the building. It is just a place to track the orders and talk to the guys on the floor. The weather gets quite warm in this part of the state, so we try to get the heavy work done before the afternoon heat peaks. It’s a steady kind of life here. We aren't doing anything flashy, just making sure the doors are built right and sent out on time. It is a long day's work, but we are used to the rhythm of the industrial park.
