Fire & Safety Services is over at Plot No 42 on the Chennai Bangalore High Way. It's right across from the Canara Bank. Mostly, we deal with fire gear and making sure things are safe for people around here. It isn't a huge operation, just a few of us working day to day. We spend a lot of time checking extinguishers and talking to folks about what they need for their buildings. Traffic on the NH-4 can get pretty heavy, so we usually start early. Dealing with safety stuff is serious work, but we try to keep things straightforward. People just stop by when they have a question or need a refill. We aren't trying to be fancy. The office is simple and we keep the supplies organized as best as we can. It’s been a steady place for us. Sometimes we’re out on calls, so the shop might be quiet for an hour or two. If you look for the bank, you can’t miss us. We’ve seen the road change quite a bit over the years. We just keep doing what we do, making sure the equipment is ready when it matters. It's practical work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just focus on the task at hand and try to help the locals out. It’s a decent spot to work from and we know most of the neighbors now. We usually have someone around to help if you just drop in. It's not flashy, but it works for us.
