We have our spot over at number 1/173 in Pudhuchatiram. If you are coming down the road, you just look for Gokul Industries and we are right there on the opposite side. It’s a busy patch of Sriperumbudur. Most days, the air is thick with the smell of industry and the sound of heavy trucks shifting gears. We handle various chemical products here. It’s not a clean, white-glove kind of place. There are drums and containers moved around constantly. Our office is just a small corner with a couple of desks that have seen better days. We don’t go in for fancy decorations. The walls are a bit dusty from the road, and the fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it is on high. We spend a lot of our time checking labels and making sure the loading is done correctly. It gets quite humid in the afternoons, so we usually take a break around then. Some of the guys have been with us for years. We know the neighbors and the truck drivers who pass through. It’s a simple, hardworking environment. We don’t have a big sign with lights. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by looking for the landmark opposite us. Amarambedu is growing, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just focus on the stock we have and getting things moved out to where they need to go. It is what it is.
