Mando Automotive is located out in the Sipcot Industrial Park at Vengadu Village. We’re in the S1A and S5 plots. It’s a big area in the Sripeumpudur Taluk, and the drive out here involves passing a lot of other factories and warehouses. Our facility is a large one, focused on making parts for cars. There’s a lot of machinery and assembly lines that run for most of the day. It’s a structured place because it has to be when you’re dealing with automotive components. We have a lot of people coming in for different shifts, so the parking lot is always changing. The office area is separate from the main floor, but you can still hear the hum of the factory throughout the building. We handle a lot of paperwork regarding shipping and quality checks. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a lot of decorations. It’s all very practical and focused on the output. Sometimes the heat in Sripeumpudur makes the factory floor quite warm, but we have fans going everywhere. Most of us have been with the company for a while and have seen the village around Vengadu change as more industry moved in. We just focus on our specific tasks and try to make sure everything leaving the gate is up to the standard we expect. It’s a long day, but there’s a sense of getting something done at the end of it.
