Gates Unitta India

Our facility is at No:F 19 in the Pondur A section of Sipcot Industrial Park. Sriperumbudur is a long way out from the main city, and it's mostly just these big industrial parks and open land. Gates Unitta India operates out of this large building. It’s a lot different than a small shop in a city market. Here, everything is spread out and we have big gates and security. Inside, it’s mostly just the sounds of the floor and people moving around. The sun in Sriperumbudur is really strong, so the building gets quite hot during the day. We have a lot of space to manage and it takes a while to get from one side of the floor to the other. We follow a pretty strict routine every day. It’s not the kind of place where neighbors just drop in for tea. It’s more formal than that, but we still have our own way of doing things. We spend a lot of time on our feet and checking on the various areas of the plant. The staff here mostly comes in on buses from the nearby towns. It’s a big operation but at the end of the day, it’s just a group of people trying to keep the machines running and the orders moving out of the park. We keep the floor as clean as we can, but industrial work always leaves its mark. We are here early and leave when the shift is finally over.
