Tulip Engg.

Tulip Engg. is located inside the Ashai Building, right near the Pathar Masjid area. It is a very old and beautiful part of the city, especially with Dal Lake being so close to where we work. You can actually see the water if you walk just a little way from our front door. We are situated on Gupkar Road, which most people around here know well. Our office is inside an older building, so it has a lot of character and thick walls that keep it cool during the summer months. We do engineering work, mostly focusing on local technical projects. It is not a very large operation. We just have a couple of rooms with some desks and old drawing boards. Sometimes we take a walk down to the lake just to clear our heads when we are stuck on a difficult problem. Being so close to Pathar Masjid means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which gives the whole office a peaceful feeling. We have been in this spot for a long time and we know almost everyone on the street. It is a small community where people look out for one another. We do not have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you stop by, one of us will just look up from our work and say hello. It is a very informal place to work.
