Skype Tour & Travels

Our office is over in Abi Guzar, right near the Bund. It’s a nice spot because we are so close to the River Jhelum. You can actually hear the water sometimes when it's quiet. We have been running Skype Tour & Travels from this little corner for a while. The 190001 zip code covers a lot of ground, but this part by the river feels different from the main city noise. Our days are mostly filled with talking to tourists who wander over from the nearby hotels. We don’t have any fancy brochures with glossy pictures. We just tell people what we know about the local spots. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we do a lot of things the old way with notebooks and pens. The office gets a bit cold in November, so we usually have the kehwa ready. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It is just a few locals who grew up seeing the houseboats every day. We help people find a decent car for their trips or suggest a place to stay that isn't too crowded. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, answer the phones, and try to make sure the drivers know where they are going. Being near the Bund means we see a lot of people walking by in the evenings. It’s a good place to work. We've seen the river rise and fall many times over the years and we just keep on working.
