Our office is on the first floor of Abk House, which is right in the Poloview area of Srinagar. It’s a beautiful part of the city, though it can get very cold in the winter months. We spend our days up here working through paperwork and meeting with people who stop by. Poloview is usually busy with locals and people visiting, so there’s always something to look at out the window. The building itself is an older style, which gives it some character, though the stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We’ve set up our workspace to be practical and functional. We don’t have any of those modern office gimmicks like bean bags or game rooms. It’s just desks, chairs, and computers. We handle our daily business in a straightforward way. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power cuts out, which is just part of living and working in Srinagar. We usually have a pot of tea going to keep everyone warm. We aren't a huge company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us trying to do a good job. We like being in this part of town because it feels like the heart of the city. We open up in the morning and stay until the work is finished, usually as the sun is starting to go down over the mountains.
