Rafiq Constructions Private Limited

Our office for Rafiq Constructions Private Limited is located over in Tikkerpora, Kalaroos. It’s at Haji Abdul Rafiq Bhat’s place. Being up here in the Kupwara area means we have to deal with some pretty tough weather sometimes, especially when the winter starts coming in and the snow blocks the roads. It makes the work a lot harder, but we are used to the mountain life. We started this company to handle the construction needs right here in our own community and the surrounding parts of Srinagar. We don't have a fancy building with glass walls. It’s just a regular place where we keep our tools and meet up to talk about the projects. Most of the guys working with us are from around here, so they know the ground and the soil better than anyone else. We spend a lot of time traveling between the different sites, often on roads that aren't exactly smooth. It takes a lot of patience to get things done when the supplies have to come from far away. We just try to keep moving forward and finish what we started. Haji Abdul Rafiq keeps an eye on things and makes sure we aren't wasting time. It’s a straightforward business, really. We build things because that’s what we know how to do. There isn't much more to it than that. We just work hard and hope for good weather so we can finish the jobs on time.
