Prince Silks is located in the old Regal Building right at Regal Chowk. It’s a spot that everyone around here knows. The building has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk in. We’ve been here for quite some time, selling silk and other fabrics. The shop isn't huge, but we pack it full of whatever we can get our hands on. It’s a busy corner of the city, so there’s always noise from the street coming through the doors. We spend our days unfolding fabric for people and then folding it back up again. It’s a lot of manual work. Sometimes the shelves get a bit disorganized because we're busy helping folks. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the stock well. We aren’t really into big advertisements or anything like that. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to Regal Chowk for years. They know where to find us. The lighting in the shop could probably be better, but it’s enough to see the colors of the silk. Dealing with silk is delicate work, so we have to be careful how we handle the rolls. It’s a steady kind of life. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk in. It’s just how things go at Prince Silks and we have been doing it this way for ages now.
