Owais Provisional Store

We are located in Karfali Mohalla, right in the Haba Kadal area of Srinagar. Owais Provisional Store is a place where locals come to get their daily groceries without any fuss. The shop is small and the shelves are packed with everything from lentils to matches. We don’t have any bright neon signs or glass doors. It’s just a regular storefront that has been part of the street for years. Srinagar can be a tough place when the snow starts falling, so we make sure to have plenty of stock before the roads get blocked. People come in with their stories and their worries, and we listen while we pack their bags. We don’t have a big staff, just me and occasionally my brother helping out. The walls are a bit stained from the years and the lighting isn't the best, but everyone knows where we are. We try to keep the staples in stock so nobody has to go without. Our pin code is 190001 and we are proud to be part of this community. It is a lot of hard work lifting heavy crates and staying open late, but it is what we do. We don’t need any fancy words to describe the shop. It is just a place where you can get your rice and tea and maybe hear a bit of gossip about the next street over. We stay busy and we stay local, and that is enough for us.
